Identify why the first search failed
Results full of similar furniture may be useful for shopping but unhelpful for tracing the original photograph. Conversely, finding one exact copy may tell you little about the make of an unlabelled object. Write the desired output down before changing services.
Try a complementary method
- Keep the same permissioned input for comparison.
- Investigate TinEye for copies and modified copies.
- Search visible captions, credits or product codes separately.
- Check the publisher's own archive when a likely source appears.
Do not upload repeatedly to unrelated apps just because each promises a larger database. Review their operators and terms first.
Judge the source, not the interface
A useful result gives you a page whose image and context support your question. The earliest result in one engine is not necessarily the first publication. Keep the original and candidate links together, and mark unresolved authorship rather than assigning it to the highest-ranked thumbnail.
